Clinton would avoid 'pat down'

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says she'd avoid a security pat down at an airport if she could.

Asked in the closing moments of an interview airing Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation" if she would submit to "one of these pat-downs" that has caused a national outcry among travelers, Clinton replied, "Not if I, not if I could avoid it."

"No, I mean who would?," she said with a chuckle.

The nation's top diplomat said while there's a need for some of the Transportation Security Administration's screening policies, there may be a way to "limit the number of people who are going to be put through surveillance."

"That's something that I'm sure can be considered," Clinton said. "But everybody is trying to do the right thing. I understand how difficult it is and how offensive it must be for the people who are going through it."

Earlier on CNN's "State of the Union," TSA chief John Pistole said the current screening techniques were needed and would not be changed.

She and all cabinet members are exempt. Why should she worry? And Congress is exempt. The very people who are here to serve us, they now are more deserving than the people who pay them their wages

It's not just Hillary who is exempt from the TSA genital searches.

I went through an airport with the new machines a couple of months ago before the enhanced patdown procedures came into effect. I declined the machine and while I got my Officer “Friendly” patdown I watched who was going through the machine. It was uniformly older white guys, like me. I asked the screener about it and his response was, well, that was the bulk of the passengers who happened to be in line. That wasn’t true.

I also asked about the selection process. He said they were to keep the machine busy. In other words, they were to have somebody in the machine at all times. So, there’s your screening criteria. Pick the population least likely to protest and keep ‘em coming. Not a particularly good recipe for stopping terrorism.

Seems like the TSA could save some time if the just searched these foreigners while they were conveniently bent over.

Hillary the old hen, enjoys a Sunday Morning cackle, while most of us are eating our eggs and toast for breakfast. The Clintons keep coming back, never to go away.

Looking at this photograph (outraged), it couldn't help that there is no difference between these guys and the Hari Krishna's dancing in the airport lounge. One difference may I say is, “these guys will kill you”!

She and all cabinet members are exempt. Why should she worry?...

True statement. So why would she come out in absolute and direct opposition to the big Zero? Because she is a politician and knows this could be a big factor in the next election.

And even thought my wife does not want Hillary in office she does commend the woman for speaking out against the TSA groping.

Hey at least she is being honest. Better than the I feel your frustration but it’s good for the unwashed masses type of BS statements from the other elites.

TSA chief John Pistole can piss off. I hope every single American overloads the courts with lawsuits.

They are begging for an armed conflict with Americans.

I am guessing we will be seeing more and more stories where Hillary is distancing herself from Obama and the administration.

She is laying the ground work for 2012.
