The Obama team on the ground at the NATO Summit in Portugal is flying home pleased. It has been, the president declared, "an extremely productive two days" in Lisbon. Indeed major goals for the future of Afghanistan and the relationship with Russia have been met. For the former, there will be an ongoing, integrated relationship, a continued flow of aid, assistance, and training. For the latter, Russia, there's been a "restart" of relations, on ice for the last two years. Europeans and Americans hope that the chilly period between the U.S. and Russia has ended and will be significantly warmer going forward.

What it means is seen through the prism of the marcicist in chief. They must have applauded at one of his empty headed speechses so he is happy.
Someone said it best on the board recently, OK, you like the trust but verify idea put forth by Reagan. OK, the country trusted you were a citizen, now produce the birth certificate so we can verify it.
The G20 meeting and now NATO, as he sits there and plays the big shot, the other leaders, most of them seasoned politicans and public servants must be thinking to themselves. “this guy doesn't know what he's doing.” They let him play the big shot as long as he keeps doling out our tax money. But they know he's a pretender, someone with absolutely no leadership ability.
I bet if Obambi went over there and said he was cutting their aid by 40% they'd be talking about how unimpressed they were with him, how he didn't have any leadership ability, giving us the truth.
The sad part of it all,he's clearly incompetent, a simple mouthpiece that reads a teleprompter, but if he had competent people actually making the important decisions, we would be more secure and the country would be in better shape. But this jerk has put his political hack buddies in charge and they are not leaders either.
No, what happened was one of the news reporters finally gave him an official “thank you.”
