A key intelligence report that could aid accused Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan's defense was being withheld by the Obama administration, Fox News Channel reported late Friday.
The letter, dated Oct. 19, was sent by the general counsel for the national intelligence director -- the nation’s top intelligence official -- to the chief army prosecutor, Col. Michael Mulligan. It stated that the intelligence review requested by President Obama immediately after the shooting last year “is not reasonably available.”
Robert S. Litt, general counsel for Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper, cited “highly classified, compartmented and sensitive information originating with a number of different executive branch agencies” as justification for withholding the document on the shooting, which left 13 dead and more than 30 injured.
In what could be a slight to the defense, the letter stated that a review of the material would be complicated, and the DNI letter strongly hinted it would never be produced for Hasan’s defense.
“The document you requested is an interagency joint response," the letter said. "Accordingly, we cannot produce the document [if ever] until after a detailed and time-consuming interagency coordination and consultation regarding the report and the underlying highly sensitive information it contains."
John Galligan, Hasan's defense attorney, said he requested the White House intelligence report nearly a year ago, and it is only now that he was officially told the information would not be available.
Despite repeated requests, Galligan said other documents were also being blocked, including the full accountability review of Hasan’s supervisors at Walter Reed and all the emails exchanged between Hasan and radical Islamic cleric Anwar al Awlaki.

He found out there is no intelligence coming from the White House? We already knew that.
Plausible mistrial, denial of rights violation. Dismissal of charges. All unintentional they’ll tell you!
Potentially that the words "muslim", islam" or" jihad" are likely no where within the report.

The report will likely show that Hassan was a known risk, and that despite the protestation of senior military officials, the president instructed them to leave Hassan alone and allow him to continue his devolution towards terrorism, which culminated in the mass shooting.
This report is being witheld to protect the so called president and his ideological pro-muslim, historic justice
policy. In Obama’s mind , if the 15 soldiers were shot by Hassan, then they provided historic justice for wrongs America allegedly has previously committed against the Muslim world.This IS Obama fascism.Why are they trying to hide that from America??

Sadly, that may be all he needs to save his miserable life. The military has proven time and time again that it does a pathetic job prosecuting capital cases. Witness the ZERO executions since the DP was constitutionally reinstated.
There's not a damn thing in this report that could exculpate this degenerate. But, his defense knows that they'll never get their hands on it, so they make a discovery issue out of it. They aren't looking for an acquittal, they're looking for life.
Personally, I hope someone chokes the guy with his own colostomy bag and saves the government the millions for his trial, and the millions more for his time at the Castle, but that's just me

Their multiple Pulitzer Prize winning reporter, Dana Priest, and her team UNDOUBTEDLY conducted extensive interviews with Hassan ~ and NOBODY wants the public to find out what it was he said to them!

In this case, ODH, the Army may easily punt to the State of Texas. They can take care of him, pronto rather than later.
