Wanna bet Ed Rendell’s number one fan??? hehehe
See, we actually do things a little better down here in Texas, and with a little more pinache’, than whatever it is that is done in Pennsylvania...
I guess you guys didn’t blow any hot air towards your state legislature to take care of that veto Ed hung on ya for veto-ing that Pennsylvania “Castle Doctrine” bill that was voted on and passed...
See you in the funny papers...
Has anyone found a link to information that “zeros” the location of these 70 some odd cameras???
I know they moved some around because they were not generating enough revenue for the city, dispite the claim (false) that they were installed to provide “safety” at intersections in this town...Like any of the illegals in this town would obey a traffic signal in the first place...
Should be too hard to “avoid” these intersections for a while longer...They’ll tweek light cycle to allow the cameras to capture more folks on short “yellows”...
Thats what I would do...
...US District Court for the Southern District of Texas Judge Lynn N. Hughes worked out a deal with the city and ATS to preserve the cameras, for now. ...
Judge Lynn Hughes has made no substantive decision. If fact, you probably could not have picked a better judge if you want to get rid of the cameras.
All he did was order that the cameras remain. He made no ruling that they could still be used to issue tickets.
I suspect he will look at the contract revision as an act of fraud; or at least malfeasance, which would negate the contract revision.
Aren’t you the funny one. LOL
I told my husband when we defeated it; watch them they keep those darn lights up so they can come back with them. Now we have Homeland (sounds Nazi, doesn’t it) Security installing cameras. Houston is turning into a regular little Nazi Germany.
You have to drive a stake through these things.
LOL The “I told you so” song is so appropriate.
No one should get too upset with the current state of this litigation for the time being. Judge Lynn Hughes is not known to put up with badly behaving government officials>
As an aside, here is a link to his most widely known decision. It’s worth reading; including the part where Edwin Wilson sold C4 to Lybia years prior to the bombing of Pan Am 103 and exactly what explosive was used to bring down Pan am 103? It was C4.

No handguns available?
Remove the cameras by rule 308.
Remove the cameras by rule 308.
Who is the lesser evil that pushed this measure at any level?
Who is the incumbent that is making this the status quo today?
Our mayors are term limited. And they want to change that too.
This is a new mayor (Rat) selected by the same good ol’ boy Rat network as the last mayors (including the incumbant who got term limited out and rejected in his run for governor). Moving the “challenger” to the governor’s mansion (Bill White over Rick Perry) would only lead to even more of the same of this crony capitalist nannystatism from Democrats.
One of the clear channel announcers (I think it was Joe Pax on 950 but it could have been someone on 740) was talking about security cameras coming to Houston and mentioning how they helped capture the Times Square bomber which is an outright falsehood.
The cameras captured an INNOCENT man who fit the profile of “obese white dude” who could be a “tea bagger” upset about Obamacare, which was Mayor Bloomberg’s “wager” that was behind the bomb plot.
The real perp was captured because they inspected the tags on the vehicle and tracked it back to the man who sold it to the perp.
I keep that one, and the chirping cricket video handy for just such occasions...
They speak volumes...
Yes they do.
small business fees & taxes just went up per abc news a few minutes ago.....some fees went up as much as 1000%
Houston is punishing voters, small business and property owners.
My apartment water rate is going up 30%. Letter from management said that for home owners, the hike will be graduated over time but for apartments it is immediate.
