Palin Derangement Syndrome lives on.
The Smoking Gun reports that Bristol Palin's appearance on Dancing with the Stars actually generated complaints to the FCC. One wrote, "I want my government to protect me the viewer from deceptive practices."
Complaining that no other dancer was called over for a hug, one viewer said it was a signal for the GOP/Tea Party supporters of Sarah Palin to stuff the vote for Bristol Palin, who on both dates had to be dragged over the dance floor. That's certain to get the FCC going.
Another complained that a judge made physical contact with Palin. Clearly, that has to violate some FCC rule somewhere.
Yet another claimed the ABC voting system was rigged and demanded an investigation by the FCC.
One complaint from Indianapolis asked if game shows were regulated by the FCC, and a complainer from Brooklyn was upset that Brandy lost to Palin.

Another reason to scale back the FCC. The government has 0 business regulating content on TV shows, period.

please please tell me this is satire. No way this can be real. People cannot be this stupid.
Imagine what would have happened if Bristol had won.

The left is deep into paranoia. They think they see the handwriting on the wall. They might at that.

As I have said to people, "It is a reality television show. Get over it."
I believe that people kept voting for her because she was genuinely nice on the show. Some of the others were a bit whiny. And the ultimate winner was a person whose has appeared in a movie famous for her dancing and has a father who is a famous dancer. Of course she was going to win. Bristol on the other hand had no previous training and while certainly not the best dance, made great strides.
Perhaps the FCC should get busy and regulate that dancers should not be allowed to compete. I think the FCC just needs to back off and go back to worrying about those seven words, or wardrobe malfunctions.

Typical liberal approach:
If you can't win, become a VICTIM and complain.

liberals are stupid.
the contest was not solely professionally judged,
but judged also by the public.
you got both results.

"People cannot be this stupid."
Enough of them are that they figured a (failed) community organizer should be their leader. And trust me that the community's he supposedly organized are for sh!t - I live too damn close to them.

Oh good heavens. Apparently these idiots forgot that DWTS is nothing but a popularity contest. It's all about the votes of the public.
If they didn't want Palin to get as far as she did, they should have gotten more of their liberal friends to vote.
Now they're all whining because they didn't get their way even though it's their own fault for not getting off their lazy butts.
Of course, that's the liberal way - behave like a petulant child.

I really don't know how much more petty the left can get about this DWTS thing.
This was a NETWORK program, of which the FCC is not supposed to have any control - they only can control the "outlet" or the station that airs the program, and then only on certain aspects, like obscenity.
Having said that, the content that is on most other shows these days, like sexual inuendoes on sitcoms, most profain words, near-nudity, how Bristol danced and who she hugged is hardley in the realm of the FCC.
And YES, the tea partiers "stuffed the ballot", they called in by the thousands. The only way I see to prevent ANY special interest or special interest groups from voting en masse on variety/talent show contests, is to BAN the process and then, there goes most of the "draw" or entertainment value of said show.
But, just as the TEA party supported Bristol in voting for her largely because of her Mother and to pay the Palin-haters back, the same thing is true about this little campaign of complaining about Briston and DWTS, it's mostly directed at Sarah, not Bristol...they are trying to get to Sarah via Bristol...and guess what, it isn't working.
Conversley, I want to know why there is a "Black Entertainment Television", Black only beauty pagents, etc. What happened to the call for "diversity" from the FCC.
If they are to control programming for one show, they need to control them all. If the FCC cow tows to this bunch of liberals, then we need to flood them complaining about all of the liberal sitcoms, their language, penchant for sexual and homosexual content, etc.
The door swings both ways.
I mean, after all, a LIBERAL WON the damn thing...so what is the beef?

When they vote multiple times in an election it’s ok, but when others vote multiple times on a call in show, it’s a violation of law?
Yep, that’s the mentality.
