Watch Jon Stewart's Takedown Of Ben Bernanke's 'Not Printing Money' Claims
Business Insider ^ | Dec. 8, 2010 | Gus Lubin

There's nothing funnier to 99% of America than Ben Bernanke's claim that he's not printing money.

Especially when, thanks to the Jon Stewart, you see Ben's latest 60 Minutes interview juxtaposed against another 60 Minutes interview when the Chairman said he was printing money -- the difference between now and then being that the Fed was buying corporate assets and now it's buying government bonds.

That is what made me sit up and take notice, is when he said he would be purchasing treasuries, but he was not going to do it by printing money. Now that is some action that I want in on, buy something but you don’t use money.
And if they aren’t printing money, does the Fed have its own stash? If so where did 600 billion come from?
Still don’t think the Fed needs a complete audit?

Overheated money printing presses pose a real threat of global warming.

He’s not “printing” the money per se...
He’s just pulling numbers out of thin air and calling it “money”.

Folks, they keep telling us there’s no inflation, but it’s coming. They’re making a dam out of tissue paper, and the flood’s coming.

I know, they just enter a great number of zeros with a number in front of it on a computer and push enter and the big banks get their hands on even more money, which we’ll have the obligation to repay.
You are right, this is all smoke and mirrors. Some day there will be a reckoning.
wish I had bought more silver when it $14.

We all do...

But, what you have will be more than what most others have,
especially liberals.

I know some who are hatefully scoffing at the folks buying silver & gold. The reason they hate them so much is that every purchase of silver, gold, ammo, guns, beans, rice, wheat, stored food, etc,

is a “vote” against their “god”, the government.

It's not Ben's fault.

He's just an A$$O who has been put in the position by other A$$O's who were elected by other unknowledgable A$$O's of explaining the robbing of the working Masses by other A$$O's

Technically, Ben isn’t lying. The Fed doesn’t need to physically print paper money to buy treasuries as all the transactions are electronic.

Well, even though Stewart is misguided, I have to say that of all the libs on TV, at least he sticks to his principles, flawed though they are. And he nailed Bernanke to the wall in a way that just about everyone could understand.

“There’s nothing funnier to 99% of America than Ben Bernanke’s claim that he’s not printing money. “

technically, it’s true. The Mint prints the money but the Fed creates it.

Most money is stored on a computer system as 0’s and 1’s. Only a very small fraction is in the form of paper bills and coins.

Thanks for the link. I’ve never seen that before. It was quite telling about how the media influences the completely uninformed.
