McDermott, Inslee working to prevent House vote on tax rate compromise
examiner.com ^ | 12/8/2010 | Joe Newby

Washington Congressmen Jim McDermott (D-WA) and Jay Inslee (D-WA) do not want Speaker Pelosi to bring the tax rate compromise bill to the floor of the House for a vote.

In short, the two Washington liberals want taxes raised on everyone because they object to upper income earners - the very earners who invest and start business that hire Washington workers - keeping some of their own money.

Fox News reports the two members are working on a letter with Peter DeFazio (D-OR) to present to the House Democratic Caucus.

The letter reportedly asks Pelosi to not bring the measure up for a vote.

The plan is to get 60 signatures on the letter, reportedly still being drafted, and then force a vote in the caucus. DeFazio says the bill should not be brought to the floor if a majority of House Democrats agree to the letter.

If Democrats refuse to bring this compromise to the floor of the House, taxes will increase for everyone and unemployment benefits will not be extended for those who need them. In short, House Democrats face the real prospect of becoming the "Caucus of No", ruining Christmas for all Americans.

So typical of these hypocrites, to stick their finger in our eye. They didn't get the message in November, did they?

Even if allowing tax rates to rise on the high income earners did increase revenues to the Federal Treasury, which it will NOT, how would allowing Condress to have more money to spend and waste help anything?

I thought the deal was already folded into the budget that passed the House last night?

Baghdad Jim McDermott is an embarrassment. The freaks in his Seattle district keep electing him, but the man is a complete moron. The real Americans who live in Washington State apologize for McDermott’s existence.

The “Democrats” all quoted in this article are straight up marxists and members of the marxist “Congressional Progressive Caucus”

The right needs to institute a policy of ZERO TOLERANCE FOR MARXISTS IN CONGRESS.

CPC members need to be hunted down like the degenerate communist animals they are and jailed for subversion and grand theft.

Letting these people walk around as if they are ordinary Americans is a serious mistake.

This deal is going down. Is disintegrating before our eyes.
I suspect the KosKid DUmmies will succeed in shouting it down from their side of the aisle.

So our taxes are all going up Jan. 1. The new Congress needs to pass a bill making the cuts RETROACTIVE and PERMANENT, and then absolutely DARE Senate Democrats to filibuster or Obama to veto it.

In his last reelection bid jim “Baghdad” mcdermott got something like 72% of the vote. He usually gets upper 80%. The miserable bass-turd has a job for life.

“I’m afraid that WA will have to crash hard before they get the mnessage.”

Sadly, I am in full agreement. Idiots around here don’t even know how to vote their own self-interests. Business failing or relocating is the result.

“Would the last one to leave please turn out the lights?”

They have to work to fight the compromise. Obama has essentially said that lower taxes create revenue. This flies in the face of everything the socialists campaign on.

My husband has to drive past that statue every day. He'd dearly love to borrow a tank from Ft Lewis and run it over a few times.

Yes!!!! The complete political destruction of the entire Democrat Party is what’s needed, big time. These people, Democrats, all of them are traitors, starting with Obama on down!!!
