As MSNBC’s Richard Wolffe - formerly of Newsweek - appeared as a guest on Wednesday’s Late Late Show on CBS, after Wolffe conveyed his left-leaning take on the deal to extend the Bush tax cuts, host Craig Ferguson asked, "You’re a Democrat, aren’t you?" as he stared at the MSNBC contributor for comedic effect, inspiring audience laughter. After Wolffe responded, "I am a journalist," Ferguson smiled and quipped, "Much the same thing, isn’t it?"Ferguson had turned the discussion to President Obama’s role in the recent tax agreement, and Wolffe asserted that it was "embarrassing" for Obama that he had

Is CBS experimenting with a conservative host for a show? I’m not awake then, but it would be worth supporting.

“Craig Ferguson is a riot, nothing is sacred, including his sponsors”

I agree. I don’t often get to see him, but I love his brand of humor. He seems unafraid of any topic. It’s as if he’s decided he’s going to do it his way, and doesn’t care if he gets canned. Additionally, he’s rarely not funny. He doesn’t go for shock value, he goes for humor.

Oh, I looked him up. I saw him in an interview. British guy? I got the impression he was a lib from what I saw but maybe he’s waking up from the Euro slumber.

LOL!

His TV show was probably the first national show to have Palin. I think it was a year before her vice-presidential bid.

For Hollywood he is right of their center.

Within the last few years he became a U.S. citizen.

I watch Ferguson all the time. My impression is that he leans left, like nearly everyone in showbiz.

But he seems pretty fair to me. And as a naturalized citizen, he really does love this country.

I happened to have caught this. Obviously the author was only there to sell Obama. You could feel the tension.

Craig is a good role model for new citizens....America all the way.

Can you picture Brand and Craig out on the town???....oh my God!!!

“Is CBS experimenting with a conservative host for a show?”

It’s worse than that-they’re flirting with the truth. What’s the world coming to?

Ferguson also backed Obama -- that's the only reason he's bustin' Wolffe's chops here, Wolffe's against the tax deal. He remains the best on late night, which goes to show just how we're worse off than we thought. :') Thanks Nachum.

Craig Ferguson is the best thing on “late-night TV”.

He’s hilarious, very proud to be an American, and is genuinely funny.

I TIVO his show every night.

****

My neighbor here in L.A. is staff to Drew Carey and worked on the Carey show back when Ferguson was starring with him.,..

He’s a conservative, and my neighbor will attest to that. Ferguson also HATES the British monarchy being Scottish and pro-independence that he always loved every American 4th of July that he wished it would happen in his lifetime for Scotland. Finally, he’s the funniest guy on the set along with Diedrich Bader who pulls pranks even on the crew.
