Kissinger: Gassing Jews would not be a US problem

‘If they put Jews into gas chambers in the Soviet Union, it is not an American concern.’ secretary of state heard telling Nixon on 1973 tape.

WASHINGTON – Henry Kissinger is heard saying the genocide of Soviet Jews would not be an American problem on newly released tapes chronicling President Nixon’s obsession with disparaging Jews and other minorities.

Kissinger’s remarks come after a meeting between the two men and former prime minister Golda Meir on March 1, 1973, in which Meir pleads for US pressure on the Soviet Union to release its Jews.

The men dismiss her plea after Meir leaves.

“The emigration of Jews from the Soviet Union is not an objective of American foreign policy,” The New York Times on Saturday quoted Kissinger, then secretary of state, as saying on the tapes. “And if they put Jews into gas chambers in the Soviet Union, it is not an American concern. Maybe a humanitarian concern.”

Henry Kissinger is a vile excuse for a human being, an exemplar of the RINOcrat foreign “realpolitik” that kept the Soviet Union in business for seventy years.

I never have liked or trusted Kissinger. Even back in the day when I was a clueless Democrat, I thought the man was evil. Still do.

Kissinger would be right. Why would the gassing of Jews in the former Soviet Union be an American problem? I would think that it would be a Jewish problem. What does America owe the Jews living in the former Soviet Union? Maybe I am missing something here, but America is not obligated to anyone but its own citizens.

...chronicling President Nixon’s obsession with disparaging Jews and other minorities... Sad - caught a speech by Ben Stein, who worked in the Nixon White House, at the Nixon Library on C-Span not long ago. Stein, who is Jewish, gave a rousing and heart-felt defense of Nixon and his accomplishments, and addressed specifically Nixon's supposed anti-semitism, pointing out that Nixon had appointed numerous Jews to high positions and worked closely with them, including strangely the Dr. Kissinger used to wallop Nixon in this story. Stein said that Nixon's anti-Jewish comments arose usually out of frustration and were no worse than much else he heard in all circles at the time. Eventually when the Nixon-haters are all dead and gone this sort of obsession with continued smears of the man will be gone too - but it sure is taking a long time.......

Please....

Did you actually read that article before you posted it?

"Soros is quite close to the circles of George Bush in the U.S. intelligence community and finance."

"Col. Oliver North’s Contra drugs-for-weapons network during the late 1980."

On June 8, 1993 the chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Banking, Rep. Henry Gonzalez

(D-Tex.), made a speech charging that the U.S. government, under the previous Bush and Reagan administrations, had
systematically refused to prosecute the BCCI, and that the Department of Justice had repeatedly refused to cooperate
with Congressional investigations of both the BCCI scandal and what Gonzalez claims is the closely related scandal of
the Atlanta, Georgia Banca Nationale del Lavoro, which was alleged to have secured billions in loans from
the Bush administration to Saddam Hussein, just prior to the Gulf War of 1990-91

NOT one word of the DNC and SOROS.

Propaganda.

Nixon replies: “I know. We can’t blow up the world because of it,” which puts things into context.

They agree treatment of Jews in USSR may be a humanitarian concern, particularly if the Soviets turned to gas chambers.

However, is it something the US should risk nuclear annihilation over?

It's the harsh reality of the Cold War era.

When Saddam used mustard, VX and sarin gases on the Kurdish people, murdering thousands, was Iraq swiftly invaded by the int'l community and Saddam deposed, tried and convicted? No. It took about 25 years.

Don't pretend you're not overreacting to these words from Kissinger because it's about Jews and gas chambers. The same calculus would necessarily take place regarding WASPS or any group.

Lets face it with the creation of Israel, Jews went off the deep end, divisions amongst Jews became more acute, just look at the Ashkenazim vs Sephradim clash in Israel. IMHO Jews were more united and better people prior to 1948.
