In 50+ years I’ve met very few people who could truly “handle” alcohol. None, in fact.
duke some people drink a few and stop, others drink until it all gone and become obnoxious...that being said I don’t do drugs I think anyone who starts anyone else on drugs should be in jail for murder as they’ve taken someones life away. but I think we should make it legal put a tax on it buy it in the drug store. take the profit out of it that will stop the drug cartels in Mexico, if there is no money to be made here they won’t ship it here!
Yep, I totally agree. And the difference between the two is how long it takes to take over their lives. I've seen it take 20-30 years, wearing away like water on rocks, before it takes down marriages and families.
But I've never seen alcohol not eventually take it's horrible toll.
I want to correct myself. Glenn Beck is a very good example of someone who has overcome substance abuse. The fact that I had to work to think of an example, however, indicates how dangerous and insidious that substance abuse can be. Also, even Beck had to go through tough experiences before bouncing back.
