Panama City - A man used a pistol to take hostages at Tuesday's Bay County School Board meeting.
Starting a little after 2 p.m., the man addressed the school board briefly, before using a can of red spray paint to paint a large "V" with a circle around it on the wall of the building. The man pulled out a gun, and released the women and children from the room, taking the others hostage. Tensions built while the man questioned the school board. Shots were fired, and SWAT teams responded and burst in.
At this time, it's believed the man fired blanks at school board members, and was then been shot by authorities, or may have shot himself, though that is unclear at this time.
At this time (2:30 p.m.) streets in the area of the Nelson building have been shut down.
It's being reported that school board members were not injured.
At least it wasn’t blue spray paint and he didn’t write a D within a circle.

I’m guessing the Bay County School Board might be significantly more conservative than your average school board...
I can only imagine the questions this unhinged Democrat (but I repeat myself) had. More than likely, he was probably upset that communist indoctrination wasn't part of the curriculum in this otherwise Conservative part of Florida.

The last hostage situation I remember here was when a prisoner took a hostage at the jail. The Sheriff shot the hostage. It worked. The prisoner was so intimidated that he released his hostage and surrendered.

Bay County Substitute Teacher Fired
A Bay County woman has been removed from the school district’s substitute teacher list. School officials say they fired her last week, because of inappropriate communications with a high school student.
Julie Bland was removed from the substitutes list last Friday. Although they will not specifically reveal the details of the complaint, school district officials say Bland had a sexually inappropriate conversation over a cell phone with a Mosley High School student.
Someone apparently overheard the conversation recently and eventually reported it to Mosley school officials last Thursday.
According to school district documents, Mosley Principal Bill Husfelt called the district’s human resources director, Dr. Tommye Lou Richardson, and apprised her of the incident. That was followed up Friday morning with a letter from Husfelt to Richardson, asking that Bland be removed from the substitute list and barred from volunteering at any school district functions.
Richardson apparently investigated the incident, and Friday afternoon sent a letter to Superintendent James McCalister, recommending Bland’s removal, which McCalister approved.
“In this case, we took action immediately and informed by a letter to the person that they need to return all our substitute badges that they had to get on our campuses and that sort of thing. All that was done,” James McCallister, Superintendent of Bay District Schools, said.
Julie Bland had been a substitute teacher with the school district since July 2006.

Please, help me out. I've seen the movie but am not sure how it can be defined as leftwing (other than the fact it stars Natalie Portman who most definitely is a Lib).
To me, it depicts a future government based on the current liberal model, but having grown into a wildly overblown fascist totalitarian system, where there is little freedom and even less liberty and the government decides everything for you, even tells you what you can and cannot say.
That sure sounds leftwing to me, almost exactly what people like Obama want, with V as the hero who takes it all down.
