Yes. How many other natural disasters have there been since Katrina? Floods in the upper midwest and in Tennessee, tornadoes, wildfires, etc. All those people are quietly putting their lives back together and getting on about their business. NO is just caught in a perpetual Groundhog Day episode of Katrina. I stopped feeling sorry for them a long time ago. No more handouts!!
Every time there is an NFL game from N'Orleans I want to scream. Usually takes about five minutes until the start the "Can a city come back, blah, blah, blah?" routine. ESPN is the worst, NBC not far behind.
Meanwhile Mississippi has recovered without a whimper by the media.
