HOUSTON -- Three suspects were gunned down Thursday afternoon during a holdup at an east Houston jewelry store, according to police. The owner of the store was also shot, but he survived. Three young men barged into Castillo's Jewelry in the 4500 block of Canal just before 2 p.m. All three had guns, according to police. The owner of the store pulled out his own gun when one of the suspects started dragging his wife into the back of the store. He shot that suspect then ducked behind the counter, grabbed a shotgun and shot the other two suspects.

You just can’t beat a shot gun for a situation like this.
He needs to be awarded an FR medal for courage and valor under fire and then another FR medal for excellence in marksmanship and gun control!
Three less Dem voters!
I hereby nominate him to the FR Hall Of Fame.
Note: The owner’s guns were pre-loaded. If this had happened in CA, where one is required to keep handguns locked in a safe, the man would be dead and his wife would be dead after having been violated.
Hopefully the shop owner recovers fully...and his family not too traumatized.
Great to hear that Three Criminals were killed during the comission of their crime. I hope the Criminal Rights Nazis do not try to go after the shop owner for a bogus murder or manslaughter charge.
3 less voters and the 45 votes that they would have cast. Now they will probably not vote nearly as much.
This is a known issue on later model 870s (except Wingmasters). Google "Remington 870 jams" and you'll see what I mean. It occurs most frequently when using shells with steel bases instead of brass. The problem gets worse the hotter the barrel gets. It doesn't get better by itself. Mine was still doing it pretty regularly even after 3K rounds of trap. The problem seems to be that Remington is not polishing the chambers on the Express models enough. You can send it back under warranty for a fix, or you can do it yourself with fine steel wool wrapped around a brass bore brush attached to a drill. That's what I did, and it solved my problem.
The three dead robbers got the Darwin Award.
Amen. I pray he lives.
