Buchanan was right in 1992 and he has been proven correct today regarding massive immigration from third world countries, both legal and illegal. I’m not confident the tide can even be reversed anymore.
I think as the lot of Americans continues to deteriorate you will see a hardening of resolve; five years ago a law like Arizona’s would have been unthinkable. More states are passing them (so they don’t become banana republics filled with unproductive illegals producing only children and consuming everything in sight). Nobody even publicly defends them anymore, since it is now obvious that they weren’t let in to do work Americans wouldn’t do, but were to steal those jobs for much less compensation.
