It was apparently a lousy balloon. You don’t waste a Patriot Missile on some Palestinian clown’s lost toy.

What you’ve missed is that a small object was detected and destroyed long before it became a threat, unless its’ purpose was soley one of reconnaisance.

It is a shame that Helen Thomas wasn’t in it.

50 rounds of 20mm are MUCH cheaper than just powering up a Patriot battery. And they got the job done. No harm, no foul, good call. 1st down for the good guys on the 49 yard line.
