Liberal media watchdog: Fox News e-mail shows network's slant on climate change

Fox News Channel's top Washington editor ordered the network's reporters to couple any mention of global climate change with skepticism about the data underlying such a scientific conclusion, according to an e-mail released by a liberal media-watchdog group Wednesday.

Media Matters for America said the internal e-mail from Bill Sammon, Fox News's Washington bureau chief, called into question the network's impartiality in reporting on climate change.

In an e-mail sent last December to Fox News's journalists in the wake of a global conference on climate change, Sammon asked Fox journalists to "refrain from asserting that the planet has warmed (or cooled) in any given period without IMMEDIATELY pointing out that such theories are based upon data that critics have called into question. It is not our place as journalists to assert such notions as facts, especially as this debate intensifies."

So the term “climate change” isn’t bias? The Wa Compost’s daily objective is to sniff Obama’s jockstrap and write libtardic nonsense that passes as “news’.

Caught them red handed - trying to present both sides of a story.

It's only a problem to leftists who are used to having only their preferred side of any debate reported. The funny part about this is that the "evidence" that these lefties are presenting of Fox News bias against global warming is actually evidence of impartiality - presenting both sides of an issue in every report. The libs just don't know what impartiality looks like.

When we said “Free Press”, we didn’t mean for people who disagree.

Now pay your taxes and have a nice day.

To the liberal media, telling both sides of the story is a "slant".

So, we should worry that a news organization makes sure that the phony bullsh*t is pointed out? Oh the horror ... the horror ...

Yep. They don't make very good JournOLists. And FOX is kicking the butts of all the other networks combined. How odd.

Talk about irony. The WaPo calling another news outlet “biased.” That’s rich.

Can’t wait to see the NYT story on this revelation.

This exchange says a lot more about Media matters and WAPO than it does about FOX.

“...ordered the network’s reporters to couple any mention of global climate change with skepticism...”

Now there’s an approach that has to be nipped in the bud - heaven forbid any of the other networks start viewing anything put out by the establishment with any skepticism.

When you report both sides of an issue, Media Matters questions your impartiality.

I am really getting sick and tired of hearing about climate change.

Any good student of geology knows that there have been extreme climate changes going on earth for millions of years.
What do you think an ice age is? What do you think melting of ice age is? Both are extreme changes in climate and have occurred in cycles for millions of years. What do these psuedo scientists blame that on? Too much dinosaur flatulence? Modern humans have been around for only 60,000 years. Only dinosaurs were around going back 200 to 300 million years.
