So now goat herders relaxing in their backyards in Waziristan have lawyers on retainer? And the U.N. wants to make sure the U.S. has exhausted every non-fatal means of apprehending al-Qaida or Taliban berzerkers in Waziristan before resorting to lethal weapons, and wants it to publish a report confirming and verifying each such effort. So much for Congress refusing to declare war, and for the Pentagon sacrificing U.S. servicemen and women to "police actions" so that lawyers and the U.N. can sue us for improper procedures leading to "damage to civilians" while "enforcing the law". And what in God's name is an "extrajudicial killing"?

Be a real shame if we “accidentally” bombed the UN.Much like we “accidentally” bombed the French embassy in Libiya after we were denied fly-over rights.

And what in God's name is an "extrajudicial killing"? A government agent killing somebody without the target having been sentenced to death by a court. Since the death penalty is effectively abolished as far as the UN is concerned, any time US forces kill terrorists, it's an "extrajudicial killing"

Does that mean that all 3000+ 911 victims and their families can sue the Saudi wahabbi princes, PLO, the governments of Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Libya for financing the fanatics who perpetrated the attacks?
Didn’t think so.

We need to go back to the dumb bombs where we slaughter boo-coo dudes in collateral damage in order to get the target.
These days we are much too nice and everyone should be damn glad we are only killing innocent victims who are either humping or hugging the target

Give him a helmet and tickets for the short bus.

In June, Philip Alston, the independent U.N. investigator on extrajudicial killings, urged the United States to lay out rules and safeguards, publish figures on civilian casualties and prove it has tried other ways to capture or incapacitate suspects without killing them. He has a point. Perhaps we could take out a newspaper advertisement:
Terrorists, Islamic Extremists, Rapists, Thugs, and other Haters of America who Donated to and then Illegally Voted For Obama - You are invited to surrender at the American Embassy any Monday through Friday from 9:00 am through 3:30 pm to avoid the necessity for extrajudicial killings that may put those who associate with scum like you in danger. Please do not surrender on weekends, as staffing is limited, or after 3:30 in the afternoon as your processing may not be completed by the end of the standard work day and we would prefer to avoid paying overtime.
Would that make these lawyers happy?

Maybe he should sue his tribal leaders for putting him in danger. That would be the lawsuit I would love to see, Some idiot cleric who supports terrorists being dragged into a real court. If they want to put the United States on trial, why not put their beliefs on trial.

How can the OIC controlled “UN” intervene in this or any other Islamic issue when the US (using Israel as an example of their objectivity) will clearly be the losers?

4Runner,
Perhpas it's more a case lawyers on retainer for agiprop groups now have goat herders in Wazirstan. When it comes to lawsuits, there's always victims to be found or created.

and never ever resorting to lethal weapons.
Since the UN is largely a muslim org, they have lots of NYU red dope diaper baby ACLU lawyers ready to sue the US.
