The new congress can hold hearings on SCOTUS judges appointed during the last congress also. It is not outside the enumerated powers and will put political pressue on SCOTUS, specifically Obama appointees, and by extention Obama himself.

Now realistically will anything like that happen? Really? Media pressure will prevent those of the same ilk as those who just voted for repeal of DADT from doing anything like you posit. There will never be a review of O's SCOTUS appointees.
That is a done deal and our side lost. There is not any way to take down a Justice from the SC. At least not realistically workable. Tell me if I am wrong, but I am not.

Last time I looked, the Dems still control the Senate where judicial hearings are held. With all due respect, I can’t imagine where you got that idea, how it would come to pass, or why anyone would undertake such hearings. Who would do it, the Republican minority? All appointments to federal courts are lifetime appointments.
