£63,000 to fly Michelle and daughters to Hawaii
$134,000 for 24 White House staff to stay at hotel
President Obama has splashed out more than $1.5million on a sunshine break in Hawaii while many Americans are still struggling in the aftermath of the economic meltdown.
With Washington in a deep freeze, Mr Obama yesterday extended his stay on Oahu until next Monday.
But he is facing claims on the island that he could have been more frugal in his two-week getaway with wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha at a luxury beachfront rental home in Kailua, an upscale resort about 12 miles from the capital, Honolulu.
According to the Hawaii Reporter, the bill for the trip included:
$63,000 on an early flight bringing Mrs Obama and the children to Hawaii ahead of the president.

The Obamas are American Royalty! Someone we can feel good about even as our own meager lives are being ruined by their sacking the treasury to pay off their political benefactors.
What do you expect him to do, spend his time on some backwater ranch in Texas clearing brush? He's a man of discriminating tastes befitting of his upper class upbringing.
If the Obamas need monthly month long vacations to keep them in the pampered state they're accustomed to, then it is we the tax payers who should swoon at the opportunity to pay for it.

Americans of all political stripes and economic classes, the `What Has Been Seen Cannot Be Unseen’ cat and I—we all applaud the MSM for not publishing any photos of Mooseshell O’Buttzilla in a bathing suit.
Pres spends $1.5 mil on yet another vaca while hubby and I schlep off to see The King’s Speech (matinee, of course) and to quaf a few at the cornor pub tomorrow. That’s our big highlight. Can’t afford much else!
Destroying the country is hard work. The guy needs to rest and recharge his batteries so he can get that wrecking ball back into action in January.
BO Plenty doesn’t have a clue on what hardships the weather has brought to the east coast since he left for his vacation. A total loser.

Well technical we ARE there, I mean after all who in hell do you think is covering the tab for this lavish vacation extravaganza?
WE ARE!
Moochelle is gorging herself with all the finest lobster, and there are flying the wings of our Government Aircraft as if it were their own ROYAL AIR FLEET, the One is hitting every Golf Course he can lay his class envy hardened eyes upon.
And while this guy spend beyond even what ant CEO could on his wildest spending spree ever could even dream to, America is in debt so deep we are teetering on the edge of a double dip recession and have no money for things like teachers and such.
But don’t pester the Royal Family with all of that their lavish Vacation Extravaganza (on the taxpayer) as far too important to them to be bothered by all of this.
