Schwarzenegger commutes sentence for son of political ally on last day

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger pursued a triangulation strategy after an embarrassing defeat on his referenda in his first term, and like Bill Clinton, succeeded in winning a second term. And like Bill Clinton, Schwarzenegger decided to issue controversial executive-clemency actions in the eleventh hour of that term, with one in particular almost certain to further tarnish his legacy. Schwarzenegger commuted the sentence of Esteban Nunez for his role in the murder of a college student, reducing a 16-year prison term to just seven years, apparently without consulting the family of the victim.

Does the article mention that the father of the murderer is Fabian Nunez - a DEMOCRAT? Wonder why Schartzenegger thought Nunez was a “political ally”?

I read this insulting crap last night. Where's the barf*schadenfreude*RINO tag? Nunez confessed to knifing the guy in the stomach and Arno wants to play political patty-fingers with this guy's dad?

So long Arno!

Kfi640am.com has more of the story for those who do not know. This kid is a gang member. His father helped Arnold with his global warming agenda.

Court found the actual murder was his friend. Nuñez pleads out to manslaughter and got the same 16 year sentence after expecting 7-11 years.

I don't like the political nature which got the case looked at but if the judge gave a disproportionate sentence, maybe Nuñez shouldn't have been doing 16 years. I wonder why the fatal stabber, Jett, only got 16 years.
