I don't know what's been going on in DISD for the last several years when it comes to educating black students, but for some reason the kids are increasingly performing worse than Hispanic and white students.
DISD has begun to realize that black students are falling way behind and has implemented measures to address the problem, including a math initiative geared towards black students. DISD and outside groups also are providing mentoring-type programs for young black males.

The Black community is quickly reaching crisis level. If someone in the community does not step up soon, then I have no idea how society as a whole can continue to ignore the severe nature of the problems.
How do you “so something about that”? re-segregate the schools, then give the black schools double the funding of white schools? I don’t think you will see a whole bunch of change...
Establish standards so that just screaming "Whitey's fault!" is not enough, prove it.. also make screaming "Uncle Tom" at black conservatives subject to the hate laws.
Even a good attitude cannot overcome a low IQ.

A good attitude and persistence can go a long way. I know lots of successful people with not so high IQs but have a never say die attitude and they are successful.
If you want to be rich, do what rich people do.
If you want to be poor, do what poor people do.
Its really pretty simple.
My guess is the continuing destruction of black families owing to the lack of fathers. Black women need to be looking for husbands from another race.
Prior to my retirement from the Air Force, I commanded an engineering unit. A full third of my engineers and technicians were blacks. They were all top-notch people, and I was proud to have been associated with them.
Yes, the Bell Curve still works. But there are lots of blacks at the top end of it. I've had the privilege of knowing and working with them.

Never in America has there been such a concentration of failures / f###ups and disenfranchised who failed to fall into the system or be properly socialized. Its a failure in the system and a failure in the people.

Their failure is based on their to integrate and understand familial contract....failure to commit to their children and their future...instantly denying success to their offspring. This leaves the children wandering aimlessly in the street for life, third worlders living in America, candidates for the religion of third world choice, islam.

To me? Its all about family/ familial failure. They excel at that and you see it in many places...penal stats, the legal system, street violence and near the root....schools. It boils down to the social contract.

They need to see that, actually, many need to see if for historical reference of how the Arabs used the blacks to conquer vast areas of real estate without wasting an arab’s life.

You means like so many white women and Mexican women? IQ has little to do with feelings. I blame the culture. The same culture that makes black guys into z-grade Don Juans makes young girls trod down the same paths as their mammas and grandmammas. The same culture that prevents her from dating a white kid in high school, holds their best and brightest in a suffocating embrace. Many a kid on an Indian reservation or a hick town in West Virginia is like-wise stiffled.
