Ronnie Earle stumping – and looking groovy doing it – in 1976

Ron Earle the man who went after Tom DeLay.

["For over two years, Earle and eight separate grand juries investigated possible violations of Texas campaign finance law in the 2002 state legislative election. Earle denies that his pursuit of Delay was part of a "fishing expedition." His investigation of two political action committees that spent a combined $3.4 million on 22 Republican Texas House races focused on a political action committee founded by DeLay, (Texans for a Republican Majority PAC). During the investigation, DeLay charged that Earle was a "runaway district attorney" with "a long history of being vindictive and partisan".]

Ron Earle the man who went after Kay Bailey Hutchison.

["Earle filed charges against Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, then Texas State Treasurer, for allegedly misusing state telephones and allegedly assaulting a staffer. Earle attempted to drop the charges on the first day in court — in fact, at the pre-trial hearing — after the judge in the case questioned the admissibility of his evidence. The judge refused to allow it, instructing the jury to return a "not guilty" verdict so the charge could not be brought against her again."]

This site was founded by Democratic activists–both Netroots activists and traditional “bricks and mortar” Democratic Party activists–to encourage Ronnie Earle to run for governor --- 2010: Draft Ronnie Earle For Texas Governor

....Ron Earle

Asked to elaborate on justice in the context of prosecution, he says: "I even have a definition for justice, even though the law does not provide one. I have puzzled over this for 30, well, more than 30 years, because I was puzzling over this even before I ran. ... I have come, finally, to a place where I have a vague idea of what justice might be. And it is the fairness and balance that come from healthy relationships. And so that, of course, raises the question: What is a healthy relationship? And that is one that shares joy, pain, and power."

Earle is a mental case. Only in Austin could this guy be pursuing a normal life (or what passes for one there).

Of course he had an attitude. He was watching his life be ruined by a kangaroo court because of his political beliefs. Who wouldn't have an attitude?

But then again, I seem to have heard that the judge is a liberal. We all know how that was going to play out.

If DeLay isn’t a political prisoner, the term has no meaning.

And I thought only China and the former USSR had political prisoners. I guess the U.S. is now in that prestigious ‘club’.

Wondering why a guy that didn’t do anything wrong in the first place would show remorse unless he was a Democrat phony.

Your posting the Pics of political hack and moron, Ronnie Earle, made me think of an oldie but goody song...
My Name Is Earl, by the 'Dixie Dicks' (YouTube)
Its a 'response song' to the Dixie Chicks, 'My Name is Earl' song.
The lyrics are funny: 'Hell hath no fury like a woman Armed'.
And the Pics in the Music Video are a hoot too. (Ann Coulter is one)

Anyone want to bet DeLay won’t spend one day in prison? This case will be appealed.
