The study in rats was no doubt measuring Audiometric Brain Stem Response (ABR.) If you read the article, know what an ABR is and know a little biology, you will know that it is NOT an ABR. No doubt.

The draw back is the condition that caused it to start with is still there. It seems that being the case the symptoms and that’s what Tinnitus is would come back. The long term answer would have to be finding solutions to the offending damage or disorder and curing that then doing the re-boot it would seem to me.
