The bottom line is that it doesn’t matter a whole lot how liberal the Chairman is. He doesn’t have a vote and doesn’t make policy. His personal political views are largely irrelevant. What matters is how much money he raises for the GOP, and who he recruits to run.

I don't know much about Reince Priebus, the new RNC Chairman, but I figure that all I have to do is wait for the leftmedia to tell me who he really is. If they praise him I'll know it's another RINO-lover at the helm and the RNC will remain relatively useless. If the media really attacks Priebus, then I'll have to consider that he may be useful, after all.

The fact that the RNC Chairman has a hand in selecting the 2012 GOP presidential nominee is important and should not be dismissed. That Mr. Priebus claims to be adamantly pro-life is encouraging - to a point. Let's see what else he has to offer conservatives.

I don’t know this guy, but if he is liberal, the RNC will be hurting for money even more than it is now.

Dan Riehl is a full on Priebus-basher.

Not sure which of the other candidates he was trying to push, but his whole goal was (is?) to destroy Reince Priebus, the successful conservative Wisconsin GOP Chair.

I shake my head. We'd have been better off with Steele.

[Priebus volunteed] for an organization like the NAACP.

Reince was still in college then. By that kind of simpleton thinking Michele Bachmann and Charles Krauthammer can't possibly be conservatives because they once were liberals, both well into their adult years. How far back do we need to go with these purity tests?

[He] becomes party to an eminent domain lawsuit to take property from a small business on behalf of the government.

That parcel was purchased at a fair price by the City of Milwaukee from a corporation to fix a terrible freeway section. This is exactly the kind of public use our nation's founders intended when they added the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

[He is] linked to the solicitation of government stimulus funding.

I doubt anyone could find a successful attorney anywhere who hasn't do some work with companies involved with stimulus funding given how large a fraction of the economy it is. If anyone really believes there is something wrong with benefiting from stimulus payouts then they should personally boycott driving on any road with improvements funded by stimulus funding. Good luck with that.

By the way, the first TEA party rally in Madison was organized and funded out of his WISGOP office. The petty complaints above show how sad and pathetic the opposition to the RNC has become. Groundless character assassination like this only serves to help the Democrats obtain their objectives.
