He struck me as someone not particularly comfortable with doing radio interviews, but, what I took most from his words was his careful choice of words so that he wouldn’t offend various factions of the Republican party.
Well, he’s been running the Wisconsin R party that pretty well mirrors the US in terms of Red-Blue split and they not only brought forth Paul Ryan, but just elected a conservative R Governor and kicked Rusty Feingold to the curb. What more do you want?
If he can do the same job on the national level as he did in Wisconsin, everyone will be singing his praises. As it is, he’s the chief fundraiser for the RNC and not chief policy-maker, and the way the R party is going I’m not sure I give a rip who they hire.
