Romney keeps away from Tea Party

WASHINGTON — New Hampshire Tea Party movement activist Andrew Hemingway is not lacking in contact with likely presidential candidates. He’s talked hockey with Tim Pawlenty. He sat down with former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum at the Concord Country Club. And plans are in the works for Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour to appear before a group of Hemingway’s fellow conservatives.

the notable exception among the field of would-be GOP presidential contenders? Mitt Romney.

“Romney for the most part is inaccessible,’’ said Hemingway, a Bristol resident who is chairman of the state’s Republican Liberty Caucus. “Pawlenty, I could call him right now and say, ‘Let’s have coffee.’ ’’

LOL!
Ironically, the tea party will likely keep away from Romney.
Hopefully..

Unfortunately Romney may be too far ahead in NH for it to make a difference.

Typical RAT, hide unless you can prevail, then control the debate or hide again.

FUMR! Go away and hide forever... please..

The RATs will decide the GOP candidate the same way they did in 08 in NH.

The GOP knows how to stop this but I think they have their heads so far
up their collective butts they will reject all possibilities of
any conservative hopeful just out of spite.

McCain was already a well-established favorite in NH, a repeat candidate there who had tied up the local GOP politicos early.

Romney is in a similar position in the state now, as well as something of a favorite son.

Gee whiz, you’d think Slick Willard could spend 5 minutes just to feed them some bull$hit about how he supports their causes. He usually never passes up an opportunity to lie to the crowd.

The GOP didn't change their primary date in NH. The RATs did
and bussed ACCORN/UNION people from all over the USA to vote for the GOP candidate.

My point is that the GOP dropped the ball purposely.

You must remember, or you were to busy.

My point is that the NH GOP were McCain people in ‘08—we’re really saying the same thing.

Mitt Romney was:

For the Vietnam war--while he had the good fortune to hide from it in France

against abortion-while he voted for it as Governor

againt gun control--while he was for the Brady Bill and the assault Weapon Ban

for military service as long as it wasn't him or one of his sons serving

against raising taxes but for raising fees

against Obamacare even though it was called Romneycare before it was called Obamacare.

for conservatism but against the tea party

I'm not voting for him. Let him pour his daddy's money into an election campaign. Maybe he will go broke doing it and we won't have to put up with him anymore after this.So long as we can take the Senate, I will be perfectly content to lose the white house. With control of both houses, I have no doubt that we can make the birth certificate issue stick and with it, impeachment charges. That sounds infinitely more satisfying than putting up with President Mitt Romney.

All Primary’s need to be held on the same day so that all Americans get a chance to pick the candidate they want to be President.

The New Hampshire Primary is BS when a bunch of Yankee voters who think Conservatism is liberalism warmed over get to pick over the candidates first.

New Hampshire does not represent the thoughts of the average Conservative.

Romney is proObama (and therefore anti-Tea party).

Furthermore, Romney is INVESTED in attacks on the Tea-Party and Gov. Palin.

"Romney praises Obama
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney praised President Obama
at a GOP fundraising dinner Wednesday ..
"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."

Well I guess it’s over then. Listen, great post. I’ll call the other 69,000,000 of us and let them know you called the election off and Romney will be the candidate. Good work!

I’m basically ignorant on the subject but what’s stopping a red state or states to have the first primaries/cauci?

Why in the world should voters in little Maine and Iowa have so much power? Let Texas go first followed by another red state.
