I think that it is one thing for an American to simply say this based on scholarly opinion, and another for someone who lived through communism in Eastern Europe then emigrated to the US to say, "Here are the similarities and the differences in implementation".
Yes, I appreciate your point. Yet, by definition, “derivatives” implies several different implementations. In Marxist-derived regeims, sometimes the hand of government is “soft” and sometimes brutal. But always government involves itself in almost all aspects of human existence.
