I won't abandon the Republican party if they don't nominate Palin.

However, I will abandon them if they nominate another nearly dead, over-the-hill, old white Rhino.

i see you only use the term “man” in your post. Which says all it needs to say all on its own. The days of it being an all male leadership are over.

46% of GOP Primary Voters Responsible for Zero Second Term.

This isn't 2008 and we won't be mccain'ed again. If it's not a conservative, the GOP can go jump in the Everglades.

No insult required - you stated it was the college kids and a few others that put Obama over the top.

I pointed out - reguardless of who voted for Obame - he won the state by less than 25,000 votes and that more than 25,000 voters voted for Barr.

Simple math shows that the 3rd party conservative voters in NC gave the state to Obama some they could go home and feel good about themselves.

I make my fight in the primaries - I don’t vote to make statements in the general election.

So your one of those party before principle people. If the dems came out tomorrow and embraced freedom and liberty and I was certain they meant it, I would have no problem voting for them. They are at the moment the socialist party so it is a no go for me. Since the Gop is fast becomeing the socialist light party they are also becoming the no-go party to me.

I will vote principle before party.

Exactly.....I am very proud of the quality of women in Governorships and House and Senate races that Sarah helped achieve their goals.

We now have a Woman that is Co Chair of the RNC. Sharon Day will be a huge positive for all the candidates. I have known her since 1994 and she is a tireless worker that is a Wealthy Midwesterner Conservative, and is not a snob. I have great hope with her in Dual Control of the RNC, she will do a great job, and we can pronounce her name.

That is EXACTLY what David Axelrod et. al wants to hear. Exactly.

David, is that you?

Why doesn't Rasmussen instead ask how many would vote third party if Mitt, Huck or Rudy are the nominee?

Somebody should tell Ramussen that the problem really isn't about Palin and her supporters going third party.

The problem is really about Mitt, Rudy, Huck, Newt, TPaw, Thune and all the rest of the media establishment put-ups that will drive people to go third party.

Ras, doesn't get it.

The plan seems to be moving the party leftward by only giving us RINOs to vote for, and using scare tactics by telling us how much worse a democrat will be.

The principles of the RNC became clear when they let Bloomberg in, the RNC has none, other than staying in the beltway social circles.

Hell, maybe if it wasn't for liberal beltway women they would have no sex life at all! It's beyond disgusting and getting worse!

In 1775 most of them would have been lined up to kiss King George's butt!

I like Palin. But Palin isn't the only game in town. There's Bachmann, DeMint, and others. The important point, IMO, is that if the Party wants to win, then the Party needs to pay a bit more attention to principle this time than it usually does.

Dole? McCain? Bush? They were not principled Conservatives. In 2012, if the GOP wants to do well, they really ought to move toward a Conservative position -- because, obviously, some of the GOP base will stay home if they don't.

There should be some pressure on individual voters not to stay home and not to support third party.
And there should be some pressure on the GOP not to support Country Club policies.

I would say yes. i would like to see her announce om Ronald Reagan's 100th Birthday Feb 6. She could wait five days.and announce it on her 47th Birthday on Feb 11, or Lincoln's Birthday on Feb 12.

Like Wayne Gretzky she is always several jumps ahead of the competition in Skill and making her plays/ moves.

The GOP’s hostility towards Conservatives does not go unnoticed. A day of reckoning could be upon the Republican Party.

"A day of reckoning" such as what?

Electing somebody to the Left of Barack Hussein Obama to the Oval Office?

Giving extreme Left-winger Nancy Pelosi the House majority again?

Cutting off your nose to spite your face?

Do you really think that any politician has a real loyalty to a name such as "The Republican Party" any more than Brett Favre has a loyalty to a name such as "The Green Bay Packers"?

"Parties" are merely labels after a name on a ballot. The party label means absolutely nothing. What does isolationist "Republican" Ron Paul have in common with a defense hawk "Republican"?

In the Real World, the local political bosses and ardent Nazi Party members in eastern Germany in 1944 merely exchanged their Party Cards and became local political bosses and ardent Communist Party members in 1946 after the Red Army tanks rolled in.

In the Real World, a party label is not worth a single sheet of toilet paper to a politician after the political landscape changes and endangers his political survival.

In the USA, "Parties" do not elect candidates in the primary elections or in the general elections.

"Voters" do.

This is how the American voters break down as of last September, 2010:

Rasmussen Poll: In September, 34.6 percent of American adults identified themselves as Democrats. That is down nearly half a percentage point from a month ago, a full percentage point from two months ago. At the same time, the number of Republicans slipped from 33.8 percent in August to 33.1 percent last month. The number of adults not affiliated with either major party is now at 32.3 percent.

So, there you, are complaining that, in a country where 66.9% of all voter are to the Left of the voters who call themselves "Republicans", the voters who call themselves Republicans, as a whole, are just not conservative enough for you.

So what do you want to do?

"Vote third party" so that the vote of the "Voters Against the Extreme Left" (which includes Conservatives, centrist Democrats, Independents and the hated RINO's) are split so that the Extreme Left succeeds in getting Barack Husseon Obama reelected again?

"Either the Republicans nominate somebody just as Conservative as I am or I will help extreme-Left Barack Hussein Obama get re-elected by voting Third Party!!!"

"Either my way or I am going to hold my breath until I die!!!"

Sometimes I fear that America has become too childish to survive the 21st Century.

only chance to defeat Obama is for all conservatives and most independents to stick to 1 party that is the alternative to the democrat party.

That sounds good and all...the problem is, that only Conservatives actually WORK TO DEFEAT the Dems.

You see, the Independents and the Rinos, usually are WORKING TO DEFEAT Conservatives.....not Democrats.
