I am not a Palin or nobody but I plan to write her name on the ballot if I feel she hasn’t gotten a fair shake from the Gutless Old Party people who attempt to control these elections. So far I haven’t seen one iota of support from the Republican Party for her. The only support I see is from people like me who believe in her. If the GOP begins to acknowledge her as a viable candidate and are willing to back her then I will be satisfied. I am sick of Romney, Hick-abee being shoved down our throats. When Cheney, Bush, the Newt et all begin to speak up for her then I might believe the party would back her. Until then...for me, it is Palin or no one.

Yeah, but that's pretty slippery. I mean, what does it mean that didn't "get a fair shake"? She didn't win? She didn't win, AND somebody at some point said a mean thing about her (as, well, tends to happen in hotly-contested primary battles)? What if someone like DeMint or Ryan or even Herman Cain wins, who is solidly conservative? What then? It isn't Sarah, so she "obviously didn't get a fair shake" and therefore you're going to throw your vote away voting for 0bama's second term?

I have no idea what you're talking about, and I imagine you don't either. How is the Republican party supposed to "show support for her" in your estimation?

We have a party system. That party system requires a nominating process, and that nominating process is realized through the primary system. What would you have the Part do, endorse [insert candidate name here] before the primaries even begin.

National politics is a full-contact sport, may the best man (or woman) win. The Party doesn't get involved until the delegates select the nominee. If Palin wins the requisite number of delegates, then she'll be the nominee. If she doesn't, she has no one to blame but herself, and the Party won't have a damn thing to do about it.

I want a REAL conservative and right now Palin is just about the only one.

The people you mentioned above, plus the others in the Republican chattering class, will not support Palin even if she gets the Convention nod. They will give obvious luke-warm support and do everything possible to stab her in the back. They would rather see our Country die than have someone other than themselves in charge.

FRiend YOU are the GOP. So, if you support her, she has GOP support. If by “GOP” you mean party officials....they don’t control voters like you. Vote for your candidate (AKA Palin), if they lose, then look at who won and determine if you can accept them as a viable alternative to Obama. If the answer is yes, then vote for them.
