First thing we’ll have to do is kill everything that lives there — especially if they are sentient.

That’s great news for when this Islamic-scourge-plagued pebble-in-space of ours requires immediate evacuation coming sooner than you think.

NASA, peering out with telescopes built by people from a previous generation. People much smarter, much more driven than the current crop of NASA global warming alarmists.
After looking at the data produced by the telescopes, they retire with their islamist friends and ask allah to provide them a vehicle to get to those planets to spread islam, as they have long since lost the capability to build rockets.
Obama smiles.

Planets outside this galazy appear to be what they were thousands or millions of years ago(speed of light).. if they are still there at all..
Why not search for planets in THIS galaxy..?
except probably its the same situation.. more or less..
We cannot even know much about Uranus and that planet is very very close comparatively..

What great news. We could send a probe that would take a mere 250,000 years to get there.

That ought to keep the government subsidy for playing Star Wars going for the next 75 years at least....or until the USA is so flat broke that their paychecks bounce.

How many orbit flare stars? How many are in multiple star systems? How many are in highly eliptical orbits?
I have severe doubts that we will find any planet in the galaxy like Earth. And I am in good company. (both Amazon links to books).

NASA is trying far too hard to get publicity. No mention of the kind of stars these "earth-like" planets are circling. If they're either red giants or red dwarfs, life is very unlikely. The energy of the photons from the star is too low to power any chemical reactions such as photosynthesis.
