I can just see the MSA(Master Settlement Agreement) with Nutrasweet - think of all that money rolling into the states!!!
So, will the high sugar soda bans now include diet sodas - or will they take the sugar sodas off the ban list and replace with diet?
Such fun.../s

What freaking else is going to kill us?? Everything that tastes good will kill you. Everything else that Michelle O’Bell Obama tastes like sh*t. I plan on eating everything I want no matter what our government insists is good for us.

Ummm...just wondering. Overweight people have a higher risk of vascular events. Overweight people most likely are the souls ingesting diet sodas daily.
Does the study thus reveal a danger from diet sodas or does it confirm the dangers from being overweight? Excerpts from the study, as noted here, don’t mention that the groups were controlled for BMI status. One would think that they must have been, but then again....one wonders.

FWIW, I quit drinking diet pop (sole change in my diet) 14 years ago and lost 15 pounds in a couple of months. I've never gained it back. Lost a few more pounds when I stopped consuming anything that is labeled “low-fat, lite, healthy, etc.”
The study may be flawed, but I will never believe that lab created food is better for one’s health than food made by God.

Let’s see: Fat people who eat too much junk food try to be good and have a diet soda. These fat people have more heart attacks.
Like Rush once said, “Diet Coke must cause obesity, all the fat people are drinking it!”
Association is not causality.

Causation?
Because fat folks tend to drink more diet soda? Because they are trying to lose weight?
Did they control for weight and activity levels?
Did they control for the fact that diabetics can pretty much only drink diet soda? Diabetics sadly have more heart trouble.
