They were attacking the nuclear issue the length of the Mexican border at least five years ago.

Read my post PAL, I did not say rad material needs to come across the border, there is PLENTY easily available, here, in the US , now, today. Many consumer products have integral sources. Most of those are alpha emitters. Smoke detectors are a good example.

1) I am in TN.
2) My last time going through Border Patrol or Customs has no bearing, as I would not need to do that.

Take those easily obtained sources and make adevice, there you go. Pal.

“material is not getting across our borders, no way, no how...”

In some Hispanic’s backpack being walked across the border? A 2,000+ mile border is a big place.

Or a small boat coming onto a beach. Lots of shoreline, too.

I live very near the border and work at a Port of Entry. I know there are a lot of measures in place to stop radioactive material from crossing, and thank goodness for that. I also know that no system is flawless. I know many people who are tasked with that job and never once has one of them said without a doubt it can’t be done. Technology is not without issues, there are miles and miles of open country to cover, not to mention private aircraft. Never say never.

Why would a terrorist try to get through customs with a nuke? There are so many unwatched places to come in.
