IMHO, much of the heavy lifting has already been done. Look at what cgk has done. Maybe this is as simple as just updating that list.

This is agood source. However, it is from 2007 and does not include links to the ping list owners.

It DOES, however, have a very good sort by category list so it will be very helpful.
