1984 and Brave New World are both dystopic novels.

Thanks. I always look up words I’m unfamiliar with. “dystopic” is not in my online dictionaries, but “Dystopia” is. Should have just tried other forms. Ah, well,,, learn something every day! Last one was “Pareidolia.”

1984 and Brave New World are both dystopic novels.

Likewise "On the Beach."

Both of the movies made from the novel are pretty good. I prefer the first one with Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, and Fred Astaire.
