MADISON, Wis.--The head of Wisconsin's powerful teachers' union is calling on educators to return to classrooms Monday and Tuesday rather than continue being absent to protest an anti-union bill at the state Capitol.
The protests against a bill that would take away public workers' right to collectively bargain for their benefits and working conditions forced several school districts to shut down last week after teachers called in sick to join demonstrators in Madison.

Fire them all, too late.
They are terrified that more people everyday (political or otherwise) are being forced to consider an alternative to the unsustainable status quo; there are many young newly-graduated or newly laid off (due to lack of tenure) teachers that would be thrilled to have their jobs for a lot less money.
The evidence of phony doctors’ excuses going viral was a major game changer for these idiots.
Nah! These cretins need to stay OUT of OUR classrooms and AWAY from OUR CHILDREN!!!
Well Monday is a holiday for teachers, so doubtful any of them return tomorrow.
*snicker*
They blinked.
If one was pulling 80+ grand plus free bennies a year for 9 month of work who in their right mind would pull a stupid stunt like this?
I hope they ALL get fired.
The kids won’t be there Monday anyway.
I bet if Walked fired the WS teachers - he would have 50,000 job applications the next day.
Does that go for the Senators? Oh yeah, I forgot. They already know we don’t give a cr*p what they do.
I think parents should accompany their children when the classes resume and not allow any spin and further indoctrination to spew forth.
But really - the parents should either clean out their children’s desks or be there to wave good-bye to the teachers.
What about Wednesday?
These ungrateful selfish cretins, need to be fired!!!
Want to hurt those union thugs?
Homeschool your kids. Here is a resource to find out what your state law for homeschooling is.

They take right after their socialist benefactor in DC...EPIC FAIL!!!
He certainly would have plenty of NJ applicants; teachers laid off here know there won’t be any hiring any time soon (and the cost of living is too high if you’re not pulling down public-school-teacher-like salaries). I’d think a lot of Dem state newly-unemployed are looking to bail out of their financial commitments to their socialist “paradises”.
This tells me they are getting overwhelmingly negative
polling. The public is outraged these greedy,
immature thugs are disrupting their lives.
Fire them all for illegally striking and remove any retiree benefits due them because of their criminal activity.
It’s not an anti-union bill. It’s an anti-abusive public employee union bill.
