During the 8 oclock hour of NBCs Today an unknown male jumped the barrier of the shows outdoor set. B-roll footage was playing at the time so he was not seen but a scream from host Meredith Viera can be heard along with yelling from the would be assailant. After a few seconds of dead air Anne Curry came on and began the news.
Once the news finished the shot came back to Viera, and the rest of the crew, sitting on the couch discussing what happened and thanking the security crew.
Video after the jump.

So was he shot or not?
Damn, I was hoping that he slapped that sorry, Al Roker.
But I digress.....
But I digress.....
I wonder how this and the attacks in Egypt and such are going to effect journalists.
I bet a lot of them start carrying, without changing their anti-Second Amendment talk, like that columnist and Rosie O’Donnell and her bodyguard.
Could have been Matt Lauer.
When will these nationally coordinated attacks of frenzied, frothing-at-the-mouth ultra right-wing hatemongering union-rights-take-away-ing homophobic teabagging anti-healthcare global climate denying Constitution-radicalized pickup-driving Cchhhrr—issstiannnn flag-flying desperate guntoting Bible-clingers end?
When the Broadcasts of Hate end.
DEATH TO INCIVILITY!!!
What the hell? If we can’t have border security on a national level to keep the scumbags away from us why the hell should they be allowed to set up barriers and have perimeter security enforced? The rules and non-enforcement they apply at the national level needs to be forced on them at their level. That poor guy was just trying to make a point and they stomped on his right to free speech. He or his family should take NBC to court and sue them over this like the illegals in Arizona did to the rancher protecting his family and property.
