I can’t believe they will be *prosecuted* in the DOJ.
I can, however, believe they will be given *jobs* in the DOJ’s civil rights enforcement division.

We can not even deal with pirates anymore. The Romans, The English in the age of sail, the US in the age of sail, all would have dealt with this quickly by killing the pirates. God we have become stupid.

Justice from this DOJ? I’ll believe it when I see it.

Why don’t we go back to the “old” way of dealing with pirates? Summary trial at sea by the ship’s Captain.
To: Qbert
If it were up to me, I would take our military and bomb selected targets on the Somali coast - i.e. any ship in port that could be utilized by pirates should be destoryed. Wouldn’t that solve the Somali pirate problem? Wouldn’t the world be a much better, safer place?

African Muslims killed 4 white Christians. I think we all know how Obama’s DOJ will deal with this.

The trial should be held in Davey Jones’ Locker. We should be killing every pirate we find and shelling the Somalian coast back into the Stone Age (which is only a decade or so ago there).

Hey, here’s another one.
You think the soldiers properly read these Pirates their rights? If not anything they admit will be thrown out of court. And did they have a proper search warrant? You think we will pay for their lawyers as taxpayers?

Why is it that I prefer that they NOT be prosecuted in the USA? It is because it will take years, cost millions, and in the end, the criminals will not receive the justice they deserve?

The fate of the Somali pirates who allegedly killed... What's up with the use of the word "allegedly?"
Why apply a United States 5th Amendment concept of innocent until proven guilty to a crime committed in international waters off the coast of Somalia? Are we going to read these pirates their Miranda rights, too? Here's an idea, they don't get Miranda rights, or any other United States Constitutional protections because they are not in the United States, the crime was not committed in the United States, and they are not United States residents.
