“How naive of them to sail into pirate infested waters without a boatload of firearms. What did these people think, that Jesus would save them? Unbelievable!”

I know you will probably not understand this but, Jesus did save them. Our lives are (relatively speaking) not of great value, it is our souls that truly matter. These good Christian’s souls are with our Lord Jesus Christ tonight. Indeed, they are the lucky ones...

I rather be alive to marvel & experience at the wondrous world around me. No thanks, I do not wish to die before nature has designed my body to survive and experience the love and affection of people around me. I value life very much. If you want to die before your time and meet Jesus, be my guest.

Yes, they are “lucky” their souls were already saved, but they were “unlucky” to have taken such risks to start with! Think of how much good they could have still accomplished had they not been foolhardy in known pirate waters.
