OAKLAND (KRON) -- Oakland police hope a short piece of surveillance video will be enough to identify the man wanted for the rape of a woman in the Lake Merritt area on February 7th.
Police released the tape which shows a man walking down the street while tugging at his pants.
Investigators say the same man may be responsible for the sexual assault on a woman in the 800 block of Jackson Street. The woman says she was returning to her apartment at about 10:00 p.m. February 7th when the man confronted her, beat her, and raped her.
He's described as an African-American male approximately 60 tall with a medium complexion and casually dressed in a dark long sleeved shirt and a dark cap.
If you recognize the man in the video, contact Oakland police or your local authorities.

One thing is true in nearly all the cases of crime of those “Rogue Amish”......they NEVER have to worry about being arrested at their jobs......
Cops up some bling, he's on his way to Corcoran.
Was he tugging at his pants, or near his pants, if ya know what I mean?
What would a description of the rape victim avail?
