I never thought that having open homosexual soldiers policing Muslim states made much sense. Not a good way to win their hearts by peeing in their sink. Notice the real neo-cons are mostly for repealing DADT AND are for illegal amnesty.

I remember a story about a homo who moved to Amsterdam and said he was heaven because he was accepted there unconditionally, until the Muslims moved in and their intolerance for Homosexuals was tolerated too, leading to some ugly situations. Funniest story I read in a long time. Too tolerant. Toleration of intolerance. The Muslims are probably much more socialist than the gays ironically.

That's your opinion. My son has a family to support and as an infantryman has little to offer in the minds of potential employers. The days of "patriotic" soldiers is greatly diminished, if not gone entirely. Gutless? Three combat tours. Selfish? family to support. Unprincipled? Doing what he can from within, sublimating his own desire to get away from the "special" so called soldiers for the good of his troops. Liking it? Not even a little bit. Cowardly? That's an insult to my son and the good troops who have to choose among bad and really bad options.

It's pretty cowardly to sit behind your computer and call good men cowards. An apology is in order.

Any principled men and women in the military are to be encouraged and honored, not denigrated.

This abomination is not going to last, I hope plenty of good men and women stay in the military and outlast this evil.

Who cares if they can shoot straight or know how to throw a grenade. Those things are trivial and unimportant. But heaven forbid they offend one little faggot.

If we ever come up against a determined military, which doesn’t admit women or gays, who trains only to kill the enemy in the most efficient ways, dispensing with any unnecessary frippery, it will go ill with us. War is not kind to people who put in a second-best performance or who are not focused on eliminating their enemies. This garbage our “leadership” subjects our military to is counterproductive to any military efforts.

I am a reservist w/ two deployments under my belt since 9/11. DADT repeal is adding weight to my consideration to get out. I forsee homosexuals becoming another protected species in the military.
