Doctors in Wisconsin engaging in deception
Updated: February 24, 2011, 6:43 AM
Protesters in Wisconsin have apparently developed quite a bit of stress due to their recent protesting against the governors proposed legislation against collective bargaining. Many of these union workers, teachers as well as other nongovernmental employees, have seemingly also taken time off from work to engage in the protesting. And now, doctors have rallied to the cause. Doctors from several area hospitals have manned a booth with the explicit intent to provide a physicians excuse that explains the employees work absence. A physician from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, who has provided hundreds of notes, observed that the protesters seemed to be suffering from stress.
Not knowing whether these medicine men are appropriately credentialed, I query their motivation and the intent of their action. Historically and professionally, a doctors note has been appropriate, dependable and ethical; it has been based on a thorough history and physical examination; it has been suitable for administrative and legal discourse. These fellows are engaging in deceptive activities that belie the codes and oaths of their office. Will these doctors need a doctors note?

Just an observation...but I think everyone now producing a document from a doctor....ought to visit a second doctor....to validate the first doctor’s comments. Course, this might double medical costs throughout America...and bankrupt us faster.
Let’s see... a doctor has declared that some teachers have so much stress they are under doctor’s orders NOT to teach Wisconsin children.
Wouldn’t it be prudent to require them to undergo mental evaluation to make sure that they have recovered before allowing them back in the class room?
I would think so. Are the kids causing all that stress? That situation can't be good.
Doctor’s notes have been worthless in the workplace since Al Gore invented the internet.
How would it double the cost, when the first doctor is passing these things out on the street with no cost?
No, I'm not following you around, even though this is twice in a row, I've commented to you.
This time I'm agreeing with you. The fact that they received these notes while actively engaged in protesting is Prima facie evidence that they are able to work.
Since protesting is a promotion of stress, they have failed to obey any remedy of their prognosis and are guilty of causing self injury. Such people might no longer qualify to educate others, nor be given remuneration for public service.
when looking at the generic notes I see the doctors are signing with a 5 digit numbered identification being the WI Registry Number. When I go to the doctor and get information signed the note includes a 10 digit numbered, known as the NPI and a DEA number for a prescription. My mother whom is Registered Nurse, and several years ago Wisconsin converted to the usage of the NPI numbers for healthcare professionals.
I have several questions for people in the medical field Wisconsin and Nationwide.
Why are these notes being only signed with the WI registry Number not the NPI number?
Looking at the video, all these doctors cannot be doctors per se.
Are not the licensed physicians utilizing the auspices of the University of Wisconsin Madison Medical Schools - Physician Residency Program to perform the so called service of Medical excuses?
If it is determined that a physician whom is in Residence (basically a student whom is in his/her third year of Medical residence) was requested to perform the so called examination would not his/her application for physician license - example Family Practice License be deemed unable to be granted because he/she participated in an illegal and unethical practice that was determined to be constituting medical fraud?
Is it possible that the physicians and residents have placed the medicals training granteeship by the Medical Board of Wisconsin in jepoardy, whereby the ability of the school to train medical professionals be denied for a period of time?
I am just wondering this because I strongly believe that some of the so called doctors were residents. The Fox News Channel had a medical doctor whom wrote an opinion that in fact many of the doctors were actually residents whom were supervised by at least 2 licensed physicians in a supervisory capacity of the University Of Wisconsin Medical School - Family Practice.
