A Dane County judge this morning issued a temporary restraining order requiring the Capitol to be reopened.
The building was under tight security this morning with public access limited.
The order from Judge Daniel Moeser requires the Capitol to be open during business hours and "at times when governmental matters, such as hearings, listening sessions and court arguments are being conducted."
The AFL-CIO, AFSCME and other unions sued after the Walker administration began restricting access to the Capitol.
Moeser's order notes it is in effect until a hearing can be scheduled on the matter.
UPDATE: 11:17 a.m. -- The Department of Justice, which is representing DOA in the matter, said there will be a 2:15 p.m. hearing before Dane County Judge John Albert.

The Gov. will eventually have to call out he National Guard
because the cops will not enforce the law.
The Capitol belongs to the people - not the Govenor.
If the Govenor can ‘close’ the Capitol; then the Legislator can pass bills without public knowledge - this is the path to tyranny.
At the same time, if the AFL-CIO wants to create chaos at the capitol - we have a justice system to handle that too.
Whatever happened to seperation of power? Have the courts declared themselves kings in Madison?
What is DOA, the group that is being represented by the Wisconsin Department of Justice?
Maybe I should head down to my Capital building and set up camp.
How the heck was the gov supposed to be doing that? The legislature's only supposed to be open to the public certain specified hours in any case.
Since when did what a court order have any affect on what the government does - ie drilling, obama care, etc./s

Demonstrations of this sort are prohibited in the US Capital so they could be prohibited in State Caps as well. Plus they should restrict bringing in food, noise makers, excessive personal items. They can bring their petitions and presentations..their camera’s..but the rest of the junk should be left outside.
If one state allows this..soon we will have all our State Caps turned into demonstration areas. Have you seen these Loons? They aren’t teachers..they are hippies and anarchists from UW.

Nothing unreasonable there. A public building should be reasonably open and accessible for public business. But conduct, civility, and common sense should also be in play. The protesters - all leftists - have shown utter contempt for the “People’s House”, and the police have allowed that disrespect.
Open the doors but insist on decorum. Evict or arrest those who will not comply.
And you are on the wrong side again. As usual. It wasn’t CLOSED. They were limiting the number of protesters so it could be cleaned after lefty’s lived there for a week.
