So any injustice against non-blacks has to measure up to that done to blacks in the past.

Is that the standard?

Nathan Bedford's first Maxim of American politics: "all politics in America is not local but ultimately racial."

In my estimation, Nathan Bedford (since 2002-01-07) is among the most astute of FReepers. His succinct maxim aptly summarizes this particular situation as well as numerous others.

So if, as AG, he’s representing “his people”, what about the rest of us when it comes to justice???

“Think about that,” Holder said. “When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans, to compare what people subjected to that with what happened in Philadelphia, which was inappropriate....to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line for my people,” said Holder, who is black.

Holder must be forced to resign! This is the final straw.

Interesting political correctness question:

Is a black using the phrase "My People" just as racist as white saying "You People"...or worse "My People"

LOL!!

I remember when Ross Perot addressed a black audience as “you people.” There was quite a kerfluffel about that.

Holder noted that his late sister-in-law, *Vivian Malone Jones, helped integrate the University of Alabama.

*In 1996, she retired as director of civil rights and urban affairs and director of environmental justice for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Vivian Malone Jones - Speaker on PBS & NPR Forum Network

“...whether whitey wants to believe it or not, it really is “them” and “us”.”

####

And it has been that way for quite some time.

Black racism has been running rampant for decades.

Meanwhile ignorant, cowering whites wanted to show how open-minded and hip they are, by electing the cool, young black guy as Commander in Chief.

My people are those of good character who follow the law, regardless of the color of their skin. Apparently, Eric Holder’s people are whose color satisfies Holder’s racist perspective, with no reference to whether they are criminals.

“Seems to me, Holder just admitted that he has a coflict of interest which makes him unable to do his job.”

Or a definite bias (in likely violation of ethics rules) in choosing who he will/won’t prosecute.

Mr. Holder should focus on his testimony due in about 22 months. Leavenworth beckons.

Rep. Chakah Fattah, a Democrat from Philadelphia, said the Black Panthers “should not have been there.” But he said the GOP was making too much out of a fleeting incident involving a couple of people.

"When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans....."

Yes, AG Holder.....remind us again: Which party was responsible for denying the right to vote...? Which one had The 1964 Civil Rights Act passed after the filibuster...?

No Eric, the Black Panthers demean your people.

We know your people can do better than that for themselves. What’s truly tragic, is that you don’t.

I might be the last one, but I didn’t realize that there was such resentment/jealousy/hatred in the black community against whites! I really didn’t. I grew up in an environment that didn’t see themselves better or worse than anyone else..., simply liking people if they were decent and not liking those who weren’t. Now, I see, I chose to ignore the signals... signals such as my black co-workers taking on a separate “language” when I wasn’t a part of the discussion; eye rolling to each other in a group of mixed colors... little things I should have seen as a deliberate act to “stay separate”.

I still chose my friends by their belief systems, not by color... and after seeing the past 2 years... actually beginning with the OJ trial, it has been slapped in my face.
