Two US airmen have been shot dead and two wounded at Frankfurt airport.
The gunman, believed to be from Kosovo, opened fire on a bus containing US airmen in front of Terminal 2. The bus driver and a passenger were killed and two others were seriously injured.
Police said it appeared an argument had broken out on board the bus before the suspect opened fire. The dead soldier was found outside the bus, which had a US government licence plate marked "AF", for air force.

This makes me ill. The two airmen were about to fly home according to news articles. Now they’ll be sent home in coffins. Prayers up for their families.

If this is correct, I have to wonder why a Kosovo national would be on board a USAF government bus.

I saw an interview the other night of the parents of a boy who was killed in the Pan Am 103 bombing. Pretty sad EXCEPT when the interviewer said something about Reagan bombing Lybia, the mother said very adamantly that that was what caused the Pan Am 103 bombing!!! No condemnation of Gadaffi....
These parents should stay off TV. The mother of the little girl who was killed in Tucson was ga-ga over the fact that they had been invited to the WH by Michelle - not the first lady, not Mrs. Obama but Michelle! That was the day of the little girl’s funeral. She interrupted what her husband was saying to (I believe) Anderson Cooper and he (the husband) looked really disgusted! I didn’t watch the State of the Union speech (NO WAY!)but I read that the mother was seated with MICHELLE!
If even a member of the homeland security committee says that it was a terrorist attack...the guy must have been videoed waving a copy of the Koran in one hand and his weapon in the other. No deniability for Islam...
I was wondering the same. Only The Guardian is reporting the alleged argument. German media accounts are quoting a police spokesman as saying that "everything took place inside the bus" although the body of one of the dead airmen was found just outside the bus, according to reports. I suppose things will become clearer as time goes on.

Correction to my #15. I missed that you had written “Frankfurt”. The 1986 bombing was at a Berlin disco.

Suspect caught with a large amount of ammunition. No fight on the bus as originally reported.
This came up a few minutes ago on Spiegel. They're usually first with breaking news such as this.
