The Obama administration may seek the prosecution of Muammar Qaddafi for the 1988 Pan Am bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, following claims of some ex-Libyan officials that the embattled dictator personally ordered the airline attack that killed 270 people.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Congress this week that she has asked the FBI and Justice Department to look into the matter in response to lawmakers' requests.
"I think justice must be served," she told a Senate legislative committee Wednesday.

to me this is odd. We already know he was involved. We ‘broke bread’ with him over it and have played nice over the last few years. But then of course they released the guy early on a scam.

This is as sackless as you can get. Our government does nothing to get him for about 20 years, but when he is on his back we all of sudden spring to life. Our government talks too much, we should just act. Someone threatens or attacks us, we have him wacked, and just keep quiet.
This is like trying the mass murderer Ted Bundy over and over and over. Even after he is convicted once for the death penalty, other jurisdictions want to spend millions more of the publics money for publicity. This is all about the publicity.
OK take his money give to the families and setup Pan Am back up.
If Kaddafii did the ordering of that human carnage we should kill him and seize their oil fields for the USA!!!
It’s politically expedient to throw Qaddafi under the bus at this moment in time. Qaddafi is probably guilty, but to have our government pull this now at this moment in time is rather disgusting. I’m glad they’re doing it, but disgusting nonetheless.

This is a show for the gullible part of this country -- one half of Americans. Nobody else in the world, especially Arabs, is fooled by it. Arabs in particular are laughing at us.

I can still see in my mind’s eye the mother of a young college girl who was coming home for the holidays on that flight, who had just learned of the disaster while the cameras were there at the airport. It was the most horribly saddening thing I have ever seen on TV........
