MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -- Police have charged a roommate in the fatal stabbing of Middle Tennessee State University basketball player Tina Stewart.
The junior guard from Memphis was pronounced dead at a Murfreesboro hospital after police answering a disturbance call Wednesday night found her stabbed at her apartment.

When you send your kid to college, they should know that the college world can be very dangerous these days. Stories like this make one long for the days of strict control of college housing. One young lady of 21 at MTSU would be alive today with the old strictness.
