Either we take a rather small hit now or get ready for living in a 3rd world country in a matter of a very few years.

People who worry about horse race politics more than their country’s future are going to drive us down to Zimbabwe status. And they probably won’t even see how it happened when we get there.

We need to remember as a nation how we made incredible sacrifices to win WWII in less than 4 years. I see the present threat as every bit as critical, so why not start calling for sacrifice and burden-sharing now?

If we try to convince the public that it’s a battle worth waging and fail, we won’t end up any worse off than if we just stayed mum and stood back and watched the unraveling of the USA.

There are 850 billion reasons why you are wrong. Its called added revenue. We are in deep crap. If we try to come up with a plan that takes 10 years, it will be to late. We need to balance the budget now. That means cutting spending and raising taxes.
