The signs are that Mitt Romney is running for president. With several Republicans edging ever closer to formally declaring their presidential candidacies, Romney told New Hampshire Republicans on Saturday that hes the candidate who can beat Barack Obama on the central issue of the economy.
((snip))
A key hurdle for Romney among GOP primary voters will be distinguishing the health-care reform he instituted when his was Massachusetts governor from the nationwide plan championed by Obama.

I encouraged them to Join under Bush. Not now.
I thank god every night that the America hating Islamo Kenyan in DC cant get his hands on them.
He added: "One of the ways my sons are showing support for our nation is helping me get elected because they think I'd be a great president."
Romney noted that his middle son, 36-year-old Josh, was completing a recreational vehicle tour of all 99 Iowa counties on Wednesday and said, "I respect that and respect all those and the way they serve this great country."
I've never liked Romney, but I nver knew about this.
What an arrogant, slimy POS.
He couldn’t even beat McCain.
We don’t need ANY from the 2008 GOP presidential loser pack that gave our nation over to the socialist.
And let me guess, you voted for Ted Kennedy four or five times... even when he ran against Romney.
Romneybot alert.
Which other states force "everyone" to pay for healthcare?
Because Massachusetts doesn't.
Massachusetts forces taxpayers to pay for everyone's health care. On welfare or "too poor" or "too sick" or just don't wanna? ? Thank a Massachusetts taxpayer. They are the ones paying outrageous tax bills.
Not "everyone", as you claim. Middle class taxpayers.
Its a state issue that he was forced to deal with.
He was not forced to require that taxpayers subsidize everyone and their dog in Massachusetts, but he did it anyway.
Now, thanks to Romney, Massachusetts is left with huge government interventions into the private lives of citizens, double digit increases for employer health care costs, and a huge taxpayer burden.
As an experiment, however, the Massachusetts law has revealed certain weaknesses in the plan. Three areas of concern are: overreaching social planning by the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority (the exchange); double-digit increases in health insurance costs for many employers and individuals, and too much taxpayer money still underwriting free care.

That article was written by Tim Murphy, Secretary of Health and Human Services Romney.
According to Murphy, while admitting the massive problems, he thinks the law can be fixed with yet more government intervention. Apparently, the people Romney appoints are about as bright as he is.
As a conservative, I'm appalled at the thought of stealing an individual's hard earned money to fund other people's lifestyles.
I'm not in favor of "overreaching social planning", either.
Your mileage may vary, of course.
I hope Josh Romney wasn’t campaigning in Kenya, Like our President did back in 2006. Or Germany, 2008. It was Iowa, right?
If he was, let me join you in calling his father a scumbag.
Explaining how the most liberal Governor in America's history, a man who instituted "gay" "marriage", banned guns, pushed through socialized medicine complete with taxpayer-funded $50 co-pay abortions, and thoroughly homosexualized state government and the public schools, could ever plausibly claim to be a "conservative" or a "republican."
The supreme court and legislature of New Jersey started writing law, long ago, forcing Governors hands, much like Massatooshits.
If Massatooshits people are unhappy with Romney care, why the f$%k do they still have it? He's been gone for what, eight years?
<< ObamaCare
RomenyCare >>
Big difference is that RomneyCare, if you will, was enacted Constitutionally, and that is, at the state level, instead of unconstitutionally at the federal level as ObamaCare was.
Combine that with the fact that Massachusetts is like a communist state — literally AND figuratively — and Romney was merely giving his constituents what they wanted, I think the comparison of RomneyCare to ObamaCare is at best moot at this point in time, and at worse self-defeating, as any harping on it by conservatives may just be used against us in a head-to-head with Obama in November, 2012.
So far, we have nobody declared for 2012 for our side. I think we should hold our applause for the end until ALL the candidates are announced. By picking on only the candidates flaws, we’re playing right into the hands of the Democrats.
Like it or not, Tax payers pay in virtually every state for the uninsured.
So, if Governor Christy in NJ is collecting this Tax, is he too liberal for the Presidency too? Is any republican governor fit for the presidency?
The America hating Kenyan born Islamo fascist must go.
Thanks for the ping.
New tagline...
The leadership vacuum in the formerly grand old party is almost total. Is this a trick question?
Glenn Beck will be pleased.
We can always vote for the Kenyan born muzzie .... if he’s not disqualified.
I really wish Romney’s haircut would take a flying leap off a bridge somewhere...
I’m so sick of slickmeisters!!
Didn’t we get enough of that crap with Hatch and Spector and the rest?
Or, we can do neither.
Some of us will reject all false choices, thank you very much. We’re still free Americans with the right to do so, which we will exercise. And if you don’t like it, you can go pound sand. I don’t care.
Not just him and his 5 sons, the Romneys and extended family have been avoiding military service for generations.
Can he just jump into a phone booth and come out as Ronald Reagan?
