As I recall, one of the problems with Katrina was that it was the call of the Governor of Louisiana if she wanted to immobilize the National Guard, which she didn’t do but Bush was blamed for derelection of duty. Wonder if this new policy was discussed with and had the blessings of the Governors during their recent meeting. Interesting that this new policy would come out after their meeting. With so many new Republican governors there has to be some fallout over this - one would hope. We have seen how Janet manages terrorist problems-just take a look at Fort Hood and the Mexico/U.S. Border - but then those weren’t white folks.
