Rick Santorum: Sharia 'is evil'
POLITICO ^ | | 3/11/11 | KENDRA MARR

DURHAM, N.H. — Rick Santorum on Friday asserted that Sharia law has no place in America.

“Jihadism is evil and we need to say what it is,” he said at the Strafford County Lincoln-Reagan dinner, remarks that show how the former Pennsylvania senator continues to establish himself as the candidate most-aligned with the Republican Party’s conservative base.

“We need to define it and say what it is. And it is evil. Sharia law is incompatible with American jurisprudence and our Constitution.”

Santorum, invoking New York Rep. Peter King’s hearing this week on the alleged radicalization of American Muslims, said that the “vast majority” of Muslims don’t want to it either.

“They left because of Sharia law,” he said, referring to why he believes Muslim immigrants left their home countries to come to the United States.

It's great to hear a politician speak out like this...he just became my candidate...Sharia is the biggest totalitarian threat this country has faced since Hitler and Tojo.

Yes indeed. Mohammed was the most clever and evil cult leader in history, bar none.

His cult is designed to appeal to the darker side of men. (Not women, men.)

Islam offers men an evil deal. Not only the perpetual 72 virgin orgy for killing infidels.

Islam offers men the total enslavement of women. Unde islam, women are chattel slaves of their fathers or husbands. Even nine year old girls may be forcibly “married” and raped. That is just one example.

To continue the example, islam is not repairable, because the Koran is considered the verbatim word of allah, and every horror of sharia law is in their unholy texts.

So even “moderate” muslims (aka trojan horse muslims) can never reform islam, because they would have to change the sacred texts.

The devout muslims would cut their throats for blasphemy to even suggest reforming islam.

It might be obvious to you and I, but I assure you, it is not obvious to the elites who order our Western societies.

“It might be obvious to you and I, but I assure you, it is not obvious to the elites who order our Western societies.”

....amen Travis!...just take look at how the Dutch elites are running a witch trial on Wilders for saying what Santourum just said....and I don’t think for one minute that the same thing can’t happen here.

I hope we can learn from the fate of Eurabia in time to avoid the same fate here.

MORE politicians should be forced to speak out and condemn Sharia for being evil, un-American and unconstitutional.

ANY Muslim who runs for elected office should be FORCED to sign a document condemning it and swearing to resign office if they ever support it.

Yeah, my opinion of Santorum just ran up the plus side of the meter about double where it stood yesterday.

Samuel Adams, Rights of the Colonists - 1772 As neither reason requires nor religion permits the contrary, every man living in or out of a state of civil society has a right peaceably and quietly to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience. ... In regard to religion, mutual toleration in the different professions thereof is what all good and candid minds in all ages have ever practised, and, both by precept and example, inculcated on mankind. And it is now generally agreed among Christians that this spirit of toleration, in the fullest extent consistent with the being of civil society, is the chief characteristical mark of the Church. Insomuch that Mr. Locke has asserted and proved, beyond the possibility of contradiction on any solid ground, that such toleration ought to be extended to all whose doctrines are not subversive of society. The only sects which he thinks ought to be, and which by all wise laws are excluded from such toleration, are those who teach doctrines subversive of the civil government under which they live." No nation is bound to tolerate any religion which teaches doctrines subversive of the civil government of that nation.

To suggest that such religious doctrines are protected by the Second Amendment is as absurd as suggesting that incitement to riot is protected under the First.

dammit, I didn’t mean “Second Amendment” vs. 1st. I obviously meant Freedom of Religion vs. Freedom of Speech. Both in the First. Need more coffee. Stupid DST.

Ric .... that's been known to the rest of since 9/11. You've been hanging around Chumlee for too long if you just now figured out Sharia Law and Jihadism.

Same was the case for Captain Walker. He knew about the Unions and so did everyone else but it was Captain Walker who came out and led the way.

Too bad evil is such a loaded word in politics. It almost guarantees the marginalization of your message.

sharia is a denial of the dignity of the human person. It is also unconstitutional.
